Wrexham Tenants Vote 'No' to Stock Transfer
The results of the ballot were announced on Friday with 58% of the 9,722 tenants who voted voting against stock transfer.

Wrexham Council now have to plan how they are going to achieve the Welsh Housing Quality Standard by 2012. Council Leader Shan Wilkinson said “The result is a vote of confidence in the Council’s housing service. The ballot result indicates that tenants still have a high degree of trust and confidence in the Council. It is now our job to plan for the future.”

The result of the stock transfer vote will further fuel concerns raised about how Welsh local authorities are actually going to reach the WQHS by 2012.
